Photographer Steve Forrest gained unique access to Julian Assange, former editor-in-chief and founder of WikiLeaks, while inside Ecuador’s embassy in London before he was arrested. He had been granted diplomatic asylum in Ecuador but he was arrested inside the embassy by British police. He was fighting extradition to Sweden where he was wanted in connection with an alleged sex crime. He also fears being deported to the US to stand trial on espionage charges.
